Meirav is an LA based artist who specializes in merging the realms of sculpture, painting, ceramics, and now, claymation film. Born in Israel with an early life of travel split between Israel, South Africa, and the United States, Meirav has an eclectic culture that undeniably informs her work. Meirav’s sculptures are often inspired by cast away objects, overlooked creatures, and sentimental trash from the streets of LA. Meirav's meticulous attention to detail defines the style of her work, but her art transcends realistic depiction and take on a life and a story of its own fused with personality, emotion, and psychological states. Meirav graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, and earned a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. She features her artwork regularly at The Hive Gallery in downtown LA. Meirav's recent creation of "Stan" is an exciting project that has helped breathe life into her sculptures and captivated the interest of others. A year and a half in the making, Stan is Meirav's most ambitious endeavor yet.
